Instruction tailored to your goals and interests

All ages, from beginners to experienced shooters

01

Entry level --                                    learning the fundamentals

Entry Level Handgun is designed for the beginning student with little or no experience with firearms.  The four-hour course stresses the proper way to handle firearms, with an emphasis on safety.  The primary goal is to build the shooters confidence while teaching important aspects of fundamentals--proper grip, stance, sight alignment and effective trigger management.

Live-fire drills will take place at local indoor and outdoor ranges in Fort Myers and Naples.

03

Prepare for the unexpected

Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond.

With this in mind, are you prepared to defend your home and property in the event of a home invasion?  Or, deal with unprovoked aggression while shopping or at a restaurant?  What would you do if you are faced with a carjacker?

Gulf Coast Defense can help you protect you and your loved ones through the planning and training that will prepare you to deal with these scenarios, and others.

02

Developing more advanced skills

Our intermediate and advanced course are designed for the individuals who wish to take their training to the  next level after they master the fundamentals of shooting.

These courses will review fundamentals, then dive into practical, real-world scenarios of defensive handgun shooting. This includes instruction and drills covering a variety of techniques including presentation from a holster and concealment, magazine changes for tactical reloading, shooting on the move, engaging multiple targets and the use of cover.

04

Florida Concealed Weapon Certification

While Florida has eliminated the requirements for legal gun owners to be able to carry a concealed weapon, there are many benefits to being certified and applying for a Concealed Weapon License from the state.

Benefits include no waiting period when purchasing a firearm, and the ability to carry concealed in states which have a reciprocal agreement with Florida.  There are also benefits when purchasing firearm-related insurance.  But most importantly, certification from Gulf Coast Defense will prepare you to conceal carry with a greater understanding of Florida statues and instruction in specific concealed carry technique and skills.
